Sika Design is a major player in the world of furniture design, renowned for its production of high-quality rattan furniture. Founded in 1942 by Ankjær Andreasen, the company is rooted in the heart of the Danish town of Rynkeby. Nordic minimalism and the Danish way of life are fundamental elements of the company's philosophy.

Initially a producer of baskets and handbags, Sika Design soon expanded its production, introducing the first rattan furniture in the 1950s. 1960 marks the launch of their first teak table collection, followed by an outdoor furniture collection featuring the famous Marguerit chair.

In the 1990s, with production expansion to Malaysia, Sika Design became a market leader, acquiring competitor Horsnæs. The Originals collection, launched in 2007, revives 1950s designs by Arne Jacobsen and other renowned designers. Recent collections like "Icons" and "Affäire" demonstrate Sika Design's continuous evolution, offering aesthetic and functional furnishing solutions.
