Born in the post-war period thanks to the entrepreneurial spirit of its founder, Giulio Tanini , it quickly became a point of reference for the construction and interior design sector in Tuscany. In the early 60s, one of the most modern showrooms was opened in Florence , dedicated to the distribution of bathroom furnishings and ceramic products.
Soon, the company became a group and extended its business to large-scale projects, hotels and retail, crossing national borders and developing two divisions aimed at the world of hospitality and contract .
In 1989 , the second generation of the Tanini family created the Devon&Devon brand, specializing in classic bathrooms, which quickly became one of the company's greatest successes. Over the following thirty years, the brand established itself as a leader in the interior design and luxury bathroom furniture sector, with an increasingly consolidated international presence. This success contributed significantly to the group's growth until 2018, when the brand was sold.
In 2010 Ex.t was born, a contemporary design bathroom furniture brand. In the meantime, the showroom in Florence is renovated and enriched with new products and furnishing accessories, for a 360-degree offer.
In 2015, the digital revolution begins: TaniniHome is born, the online shop that allows the group to open the doors of the GiulioTanini store to new customers all over the world. A success that ends up contaminating the showroom in Florence, which in 2021 abandons its original name to transform itself into a space in which digital and material merge, offering customers a unique shopping experience.

2015 marks a turning point for Tanini with the birth of taninihome.com , the company's first online shop.
